Why this recipe works
This no-bake lemon slice without condensed milk is designed to set perfectly while staying fresh, tangy, and lightly sweet:
No Condensed Milk
Creates a lighter, less sweet slice where the lemon flavour really stands out instead of being overly rich.
Crushed Biscuits & Butter Base
Forms a firm, buttery base that holds together once chilled and slices cleanly without falling apart.
Fresh Lemon Juice & Zest
Gives the slice its bright, citrus flavour and keeps it tasting fresh and zesty.
Lemon Icing
Sets into a smooth, tangy layer that balances the base and finishes the slice with a sweet citrus kick.

Ingredients you’ll need
Milk Arrowroot Biscuits
Create the crunchy, buttery base that holds the slice together once set.
Desiccated Coconut
Adds texture and a subtle sweetness that balances the lemon flavour.
Fresh Lemon Juice & Zest
Brings bright, fresh citrus flavour throughout both the base and icing.
Unsalted Butter
Binds the base together and forms the rich foundation of the slice.
Icing Sugar (Powdered Sugar)
Creates a smooth, tangy lemon icing that sets firmly in the fridge.
