Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup canned pumpkin puree I use Libby’s
  • 2 Tbsp pure maple syrup
  • 1 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 cups whole milk

Topping

  • Whipped cream
  • Pumpkin pie spice or ground cinnamon, to dust

Instructions

  • Add Flavorings: In a small saucepan, combine the pumpkin purée, pumpkin pie spice, maple syrup, vanilla and salt.
  • Whisk to Combine: Whisk over low heat for about 20 seconds until smooth and aromatic.
  • Add Milk: Slowly pour in the milk, whisking continuously to combine.
  • Heat Gently: Warm over medium-low heat until steaming, not boiling.
  • Froth (Optional): Froth with a handheld frother or whisk vigorously to create foam.
  • Serve: Pour into a mug, top with whipped cream and a dusting of pumpkin pie spice or ground cinnamon. Enjoy!

Best enjoyed fresh, but you can refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Reheat gently on the stove or in the microwave, then froth again before serving.
