Easy Garibaldi  Biscuits

These easy Garibaldi Biscuits are golden biscuits filled with sweet currants sandwiched between two layers of soft buttery biscuit dough. Enjoy this classic biscuit with a cup of tea or coffee!

- Flour - Sugar - Baking powder - Butter - Milk - Currants - Egg

How to make Garibaldi Biscuits using our easy method!

Step-by-step instructions! 

In a food processor add the dry ingredients & the butter. Blend to a coarse crumb.

Drizzle in the milk & continue to blend until a rough dough has formed.

On a floured surface roll dough out into a large rectangle.

Sprinkle currants over one half of the dough rectangle.

Fold the dough over the currants and roll out into another large rectangle.

Take a fork & prick the dough all over.

Cut the dough into smaller rectangle biscuits & place on the lined baking sheet.

Brush each biscuit with the egg wash & a sprinkle of sugar. Bake for 20 minutes.
