Baked Hot Jam Doughnuts

These Baked Hot Jam Doughnuts are easy yeast doughnuts baked in the oven without deep frying.  Made without a doughnut pan, they’re filled with strawberry jam and coated in cinnamon sugar

Ingredients

- Plain flour - Instant yeast - Granulated sugar - Sugar - Salt - Milk - Egg - Cinnamon - Strawberry jam

How to make Baked Jam Doughnuts using our easy method!

Step-by-step instructions! 

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, yeast, sugar & salt.

Heat up milk and butter in a small pot over low-medium heat.

Pour in the beaten egg followed by the warm milk and butter mixture. Mix to a soft dough.

Lightly knead the dough on a floured surface then place into a large bowl & proof for  1 hour & 30 minutes or until doubled in size.

Roll the dough out into a large circle then cut out the round doughnut shapes using a cookie cutter.

Place rounds onto the lined baking sheet & proof for a further 1 hour until puffy. Then bake for 10-12 minutes.

Brush baked doughnuts with melted butter and coat in the cinnamon sugar. Create holes in the side of each using a straw.

Pipe strawberry jam into each hot doughnut. Serve & enjoy!
